When to call
Plumbing emergencies we handle
A plumbing emergency can flood a home in minutes. If any of these are happening in your Cambridge home or business, find your main water shut-off (usually at the toby by the street or under the kitchen sink) and call us straight away on 07 808 6936:
- Burst or leaking pipes flooding a room, wall or ceiling
- Blocked drains or toilets overflowing or backing up
- No hot water or a leaking hot water cylinder
- Gas leaks or the smell of gas (turn off the gas and ventilate first)
- Blocked or overflowing sewer drains
- Storm or flood damage to pipework and drainage
What to do while you wait
For a burst pipe, turn off the water at the toby to stop the flooding, then open a tap to drain the line. For a gas smell, turn off the gas at the bottle or meter and keep the area ventilated. Then call us — we’ll talk you through it and get a plumber to you fast.
